Taikayöntie

Taikayöntie tarjoaa tienkäyttäjälle kiireettömän vaihtoehdon ja virikkeellisiä elämyksiä pirkanmaalaisessa ja satakuntalaisessa kulttuurimaisemassa.

Taikayöntie halkoo Huittisten, Punkalaitumen ja Urjalan avaria ja vaihtelevia maisemia. Tie on historiallisesti arvokas matkailutie ja sen varrella on upea luonto, silmiä hiveleviä jokinäkymiä ja rikas kulttuuriympäristö. Vanha talonpoikainen rakennuskulttuuri esittäytyy aidoimmillaan esi-isien muokkaamassa maisemassa. Seudun museot tarjoavat mainion tilaisuuden tutustua menneen ajan kiireettömään elämänmenoon.

Taikayöntiellä juostaan joka syyskuuun toinen lauantai Maisematiemaraton.

Taikayöntie (The Highway of the Magic Night)

Taikayöntie offers the traveler a leisurely alternative and inspirational journey through the cultural scenery of Pirkanmaa and Satakunta counties.

Taikayöntie passes through the spacious and diverse landscapes of Huittinen, Punkalaidun and Urjala.  Along this historically valuable highway are striking river views, magnificent nature, and rich cultural environment.  Old rustic building style presents itself most authentically in the surroundings cultivated by the forefathers.  Area museums bestow a grand opportunity to get acquainted with the unhurried lifestyle of the past.  

Maisematiemaraton (“The Scenic Way Marathon”) takes place on Taikayöntie on the second Saturday of every September.
